The Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation Tribal Library focuses on education, engagement, and outreach to tribal and community members through the preservation of our history, culture, and language. We work on a variety of projects such as our tribal archive, Shoshone language program, and cultural education events for tribal members young and old. This initiative is intended to support the tribal members and families in the community.

The Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation (NWBSN) values open communication and respectful dialogue with our partners and the broader community. Recently, a tribal member, Darren Parry, shared personal views publicly. We wish to clarify that these comments do not represent the official voice or position of the NWBSN.

As with many sovereign tribal nations, the NWBSN speaks through designated representatives to ensure accuracy, unity, and respect for our cultural and governmental processes. We kindly ask that organisations and media outlets reach out directly to the Tribe when seeking official statements or perspectives.
